UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) is looking to make the most out of his time in the limelight. “Notorious” brought up Anderson Silva (@SpiderSilva) during a recent internet Pay-Per-View, stating that he would fight him if the numbers were right.
The idea of Conor McGregor vs. Anderson Silva was originally brought up by Silva. The former UFC middleweight champion has stated that he “admires” McGregor’s fighting style and that he doesn’t mean any disrespect.
Silva has fought as high as light heavyweight in his career, while the highest McGregor has fought at is welterweight.
McGregor is currently pursuing a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, but at the moment it seems both sides are not close to coming to any type of agreement. Meanwhile in the UFC Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will fight for the interim lightweight title at UFC 209, McGregor is expected to fight the winner for the UFC’s undisputed lightweight title.
Silva can be seen in action next at UFC 208 on February 11, 2017.
What are your thoughts on this? Should McGregor vs. Silva happen?
