Liam Harrison vs. Rayan Mekki Set For Yokkao 24

Liam Harrison vs. Ryan Mekki

Yokkao 24 is set to take place on March 25, 2017 at the Macron Stadium in Bolton, UK. The main event will feature Liam Harrison (@LiamBadco) defending his Yokkao 65 kg title against Rayan Mekki.

Harrison won the title with a decision over Tetsuya Yamato (@tetsuya_yamato) at Yokkao 17. One of the most popular fighters from the UK, he represents team Bad Company.  Known for his aggressive style and devastating low kicks, Harrison has fought a who’s who list of Muay Thai fighters. Some of his more notable fights include Saenchai, Sagetdao, and Andrei Kulebin. He dropped a decision to Fabio Pinca in his last fight at Yokkao 19 in a non title fight.

Mekki is a young French prospect, at only 19 years old he will be looking to become the youngest Yokkao champion. He represents the highly touted Team Nasser-K and is currently on a 13 fight win streak. The fight against Harrison will be his biggest to date, and can be a huge stepping stone to propel him into the international spotlight if he wins.

Yokkao 24 will continue the format of two events in one day, with Yokkao 23 taking place before. The fight card for both events has yet to be released but keep checking back here for the latest updates.
