Lion Fight’s second event of 2017 is set for March 3rd. Lion Fight 35 will take place at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket,Connecticut.
The main event will feature Lion Fight champion Jo Nattawut defending his super welterweight title against Kengsiam Nor Sripueng. Nattawut is a two division champion for Lion Fight, he also holds the promotions middleweight belt. He is fresh off a win in China, where he won a decision over Yan Zhao at SuperStar Fight 7. His last outing for Lion Fight was a unanimous decision win over Hasan Toy at Lion Fight 33.
Kengsiam is coming off a tournament win this past December for Max Muay Thai. He scored a second round (T)KO over Issam Arabat-Ziare and a decision over Kurtis Staiti.
The night’s co-main event will feature Lion Fight women’s lightweight champion Antonina Shevchenko (@KO_Antonina) vs. Aleide Lawant (@Aleidelawant). Shevchenko has defended her title twice with both wins coming by unanimous decision over Paola Cappucci and Ilona Wijmans. If her last name sounds familiar it is because she is the sister of UFC fighter Valentina Shevchenko (@BulletValentina).
Lawant has been one of the top names in women’s Muay Thai and Kickboxing for a while. She has consistently fought for Enfusion Kickboxing and has been in the ring with the likes of Miriam Nakamoto (@MiriamNakamoto), Julie Kitchen (@JulieKitchenUK), and Anke Van Gestel.
Making his American debut, longtime Fairtex mainstay Naurepol will be taking on Brazil’s Amadeu Cristiano.
All of the Lion Fight 35 action can be seen live on AXS TV.
